Juniors

Jamie Evans a player who has been a member for 8 years is the junior captain and he has chosen his good friend Josh Chan  to be his vice-captain for the year.

The section has just received the junior accreditation award through the Welsh Golfing Union has both social and competitive play opportunities.

Competition play at the club is every Sunday morning at 10am and the children have additional opportunities to play competitive golf, in the Denbighshire Boys order of Merit where there are 8 events a year, whilst the girls, have the D&F Girls order of merit who also play upwards of 8 events throughout the season. Over the summer months they play 9 hole social comps as well.

Old Colwyn Junior have a team in the DGU league during the summer months and in the winter they play in the Paul Davies winter league, where they were  champions in 2017/18, 18/19 & 19/20 and again in 2021/22 defending their title for 34years.

Lessons are taken by the junior section organisers during the winter on a Sunday Morning at 10am, whilst there is normally 6 weeks of free lessons followed by 6 weeks of paid lessons by a professional in the summer months.
